Hayley Osborne, MA, LPC, MHSP Play Therapist
would like to welcome you to the Healing Play child therapy F.A.Q.

I use play therapy to treat the following problems:
Self esteem issues
Issues related to learning disabilities
I also do substance abuse assessments/dual diagnosis
counseling for children and adults. Family Systems Therapy is also
one of my specialties.
- How long will it take for my child to progress?
It all depends on the motivation of the child/amount of parent
participation/ severity of the behavioral issues. However, play
therapy is a journey that usually takes about eight sessions in
which significant change occurs.
Do you accept insurance?
YES! I take Blue Cross, Magellan, ComPsych, MHN, and
National EAP. I
am in the process of getting credentialed through additional
insurance companies. Please call 615-896-9160 to verify that
I take your insurance.
Are you licensed?
Yes! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor w/ Mental Health
Provider Status. This means that I met all the state of TN
requirements for licensure, which include two years of supervision
and passing board exams. For more information about licensure,
please visit the website listed below.
- Can play therapy used for adults?
Yes and it can also be a healing experience! I have specialized
training in sandtray/ art therapy for adults. I have found that
adults who are “artistically inclined” or introverted tend to
respond better to this type of therapy.
therapy can also be an effective tool to help adults heal
from childhood trauma.
